Why Woodlands?

Our Philosophy

Our aim at Woodlands International School is to prepare our students for life in a rapidly changing global community. We encourage our students to be inquiring, knowledgeable and empathetic, showing respect for all people and communities. We respect equality and diversity and encourage team-work and school spirit.

We provide a secure, nurturing and stimulating learning environment and an inquiry-based curriculum using the Cambridge programme which is delivered in an engaging, flexible, creative and challenging way promoting a philosophy of education for all, whilst building character and preparing our students to become responsible and confident global citizens.

The Woodlands International School experience inspires its learners to develop a sense of pride and commitment to making a difference. A transparent and reflective partnership between students, teachers, family and community is fundamental to our goal.

Cambridge Primary

We are proud to instil a curriculum which is taught in over 150 countries and can open doors to some of the world's most prestigious higher education establishments around the world - the "Cambridge Curriculum".

Our enriched curriculum is particulary good at teaching students to think independently. Our teachers encourage open debate and discussion among students, helping them to develop their own beliefs and voice their own opinions with clarity and confidence.

Our students will have the opportunity to sit for the Cambridge Checkpoint Examination to monitor their individual performance at the end of the Lower Secondary programme. This helps them see how they are performing against an international benchmark, and in comparison to the rest of the class. Learners will also receive a statement of achievement and a diagnostic feedback report from Cambridge International.
